WikiPeatia:About
Who writes this
[edit]WikiPeatia is written and edited by Jay Fisher. I'm an independent researcher. I'm not a doctor, nurse, or dietitian, and I don't claim to be one.
Every quantified claim on this site, a dose, a percentage, a study finding, is tied to a citation, usually a PubMed-indexed paper or a primary source. Articles go through periodic editorial review to catch unsourced or overstated claims and fix them. If you find a claim that isn't backed by its cited source, or a source that got misread, message me and I'll correct it.
Other researchers sometimes contribute research or corrections to the underlying material. Some have asked not to be named publicly yet, so right now this page credits the one person accountable for what's published: me.
What this is
[edit]WikiPeatia collects, organizes, and cross-links information related to the bioenergetic view of metabolism associated with Ray Peat, sourced from his own writing and interviews plus the wider research literature around it.
It runs on MediaWiki, the same free software behind many wikis. It's an independent project with its own editorial choices. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Wikipedia or the Wikimedia Foundation. The name is a play on words (Ray Peat plus wiki). Any resemblance in name or appearance is a light-hearted homage, nothing more.
Not medical advice
[edit]Everything here is for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not medical, nutritional, or professional advice, and it doesn't replace talking to a qualified physician or other licensed provider. Talk to a professional before making health decisions, especially involving hormones or medication. See the full disclaimer.
Corrections and contributions
[edit]This is an evolving project and individual pages may be incomplete. If you spot an error, an outdated claim, or a citation that doesn't support what's written, reach out. Corrections get made and stay visible in MediaWiki's normal edit log.
