The CODE committee claimed in an advertisement that a nuclear power plant “will help to protect the environment.” Professor Ellickson, the physicist who is co-chairman of the committee that paid for the ad, must use the same logic as the government scientists who used to claim that radioactive fallout is good for you, or at least not harmful; they called their study and public relations job “Project Sunshine.”
